This article will list the steps needed to add Searx as the default search engine within on MacOS.

Adding Searx to Alfred⚓

Go to Alfred Preferences > Features > Web Search and click Add Custom Search. Then configure these settings:

  • Search URL: https://<your searx url>/search?q={query}
  • Title: Searx for {query}
  • Keyword: searx

Go to Default Results and click the Setup fallback results button. Click + and add Searx, then drag it to the top.
